Based on key customer feedback, the original VPX specification has evolved to include OpenVPX profiles for multi-vendor integration environments. The OpenVPX framework defines clear interoperability points required for integration between modules and modules to backplanes and chassis. Driven by the SOSA Open group, the OpenVPX specification and profile list was updated again in 2019, and the industry's top vendors are at the forefront of implementing compute-intensive boards compliant with these new profiles. VPX products are widely deployed in military and aerospace environments, and we provide a range of processor boards, switches, storage, XMC bays, and development systems. The 6U CompactPCI product range offers users a choice of high-performance, highly integrated slot controllers and peripheral controllers, using Intel processor platforms for ease of programming and with broad availability over a long lifecycle. 3U CompactPCI remains a popular architecture, especially for transportation and defense applications.
